The U13's promised a good deal more than their actual results.
for this disappointing play can be put down to a number of things, with lack of tackling as the main reason.
However, when the team did play well, the pack was the better of the two divisions. They did particularly well as most of the packs they came up against were far bigger and heavier than we were.
The backs on the other hand, often could not do anything constructive with the ball when they got it. However, the side didn't lack effort in the opening few games of the season. But, after a few blows to our moral (eg a thrashing at the hands of Manwoods) we lifted ourselves and began to play something like Rugby. As so often happens unfortunately, we were in sight. of the end of the season when form again went to pieces - subsequently our opponents capitalized on this and the season ended with a bang - the wrong sort! In the end we lost one more match then we won, which wasn't loo bad, Personally, I think future team will have to improve their tackling and if we are to win we need more height in the teams a whole. Without these it will be very hard for us to win matches as we and our opponents progress through school rugby.
