The Mighty Golden Eagle

The eagle soared up high,
With great wins of gold;
It searched the clear blue skies,
With its bright eyes so bold,

He caught a glimpse of,
A shining speck below,
His mighty wings curved inwards,
As he swooped to deliver a blow.

The tiny desert bird,
Caught a tiny flash,
Of the rapidly moving shape,
But alas, it was too late.

He dived instantaneously,
But was soon in the creul talons of death,
He felt the sharp claws sink in,
But was soon very dead!

The mighty golden eagle,
In needle sharp claws so strong,
Carried home the dead carcass,
So as to feed its young,
